heyy guys i’ve basically almost completely moved blogs to schwanendreher

it was supposed to be a blog where i could be my fangirly weaboo self but tbh now I have very little reasons to return to this one? cause whats the point of having a blog to enjoy a bit of free time if most of the time i din’t feel free to reblog/post what I wanted because ‘that’s not what people followed me for’ STUPID HUH

But I also met a lot of people I really like here so don’t be surprised if a blog that has nothing to do with you follows you hah that me

this blog has been great and i learned a lot because most of the blogs i’ve followed have been politics-related

but nowadays being constantly reading/watching that kind of content doesn’t motivate me like it usually did and its just stressing (bah tumblr is really us-centric so i’ve reached a point where im not learning anything new)

I had a great time but it’s time to moove on~

inkskinned:

three years ago i was trapped in an awful relationship with a toxic person who blamed me for her drug addition. i had to break up over the phone because every other time i’d tried to break up in person, she had coerced me into staying.

this wednesday my boyfriend drove 45 minutes out of his way just to give me coffee during my long work day like i didn’t have time to do anything but hug him and thank him. when i was close to tears with gratitude, he shrugged and said, “of course.”

things get better. you will go from standing in the shower thinking “god what if this is for the rest of my life” to “god, i hope this is for the rest of my life.” hold on, okay?

Everyone is entitled to a home, healthy food, clean water, and any and all medicine that they need.

This is an obvious moral fact but it’s controversial and “radical” in our fucked society.

*Everyone productive, elderly, or disabled

No literally everyone shitbox

holy shit the idea that you have to be ‘productive’ to access basic human rights, dignity, and life is the most disgusting, insidious shit in the world. fuck your ‘or disabled’ caveat- the idea of being ‘productive’ is deeply rooted in ableism (where disabled people are not considered full members of society or actual humans unless they are ‘productive’) and classism, i bet you really, really wouldn’t like the implications of allowing someone else to decide who is ‘productive’ enough to deserve food and water and shelter.  in fact, we are living those implications now, and just because it hasn’t caught up to you yet doesn’t mean it won’t.

every human is entitled to food, water, shelter, EDUCATION, and medical care. even if they don’t produce anything.

Okay, the purpose of excluding non-”productive” people from access to basic needs is presumably to punish them for being non-productive, I assume? So how the fuck do you expect someone to become productive if they are starving, ill, uneducated, homeless, etc. ?

This approach makes no goddamn sense. Even if you take the view that poverty is somehow a moral failing on the part of the poor person, don’t you want them to have the ability to fix that moral failing? Conservatives will pay out the ass for quack therapies to make gay kids straight but won’t address poverty which actually does have a cure.
